Llys y Gwynt

McVeigh Offsite were appointed by main contractors Read Construction for the design, supply and installation of the shared supported housing for young people in Holyhead, Anglesey.

Llys Y Gwynt is a transformative construction project, aimed at providing modern facilities for a supported housing facility dedicated to assisting young people in the community who are at risk of, or have experienced homelessness. This project embodies a commitment to social welfare and community support.

All materials were constructed offsite in factory conditions, including SIP external walls, timber frame internal walls, and timber cassette floors and roofs. This offsite construction approach was chosen to minimise disruption to the local residents and streamline the construction process, ensuring efficient and timely completion.

The Prefabrication of components ensured noise, dust, and other inconveniences typically associated with traditional construction methods were minimised.
