Many commercial and residential buildings across Wales are choosing SIP panels as their building material choice. SIPs help with buildings in many ways from their highly effective thermal efficiency, making amazing spaces, but also for easy of construction on sites that can often be hard to reach.
To date we’ve successfully designed, delivered and constructed over 20+ projects, from Anglesey, Pwhelli to Snowdonia to Wrexham. No project is too complex for us.
McVeigh Offsite was appointed by Wynne Construction to design, supply and install SIP panels for a school and kitchen extension at Ysgol yr Hafod, Wrexham. This extension integrated the existing schoolhouse with the modern new workspace. Comprising of three new open plan classrooms, nursery and reception area to enhance the learning environment.
This involved a SIP wall construction and Cassette roof to form the superstructure. Allowing us to utilise a faster method of install than alternative techniques due to the offsite manufacturing of panels. Councillor Phil Wynn, Wrexham Council’s Lead Member for Education, expressed “Bringing all the children together on one modern site – with the best classrooms and facilities – will be an exciting step forward for Ysgol yr Hafod”.
SIPs provided excellent thermal insulation and airtightness, contributing to a more energy-efficient school building.
The project aimed to incorporate sustainable elements wherever possible, aligning with McVeigh Offsite’s commitment to eco-friendly construction.
The offsite manufacturing of SIP panels allowed for a faster on-site construction process, minimising disruption to the school schedule.
This project is a testament to Wrexham Council’s commitment to providing top-notch educational facilities for the children of Johnstown.
The open-plan design of the classrooms and the dedicated nursery and reception area fostered a more modern and engaging learning environment for the students.
The project aimed to incorporate sustainable elements wherever possible, aligning with McVeigh Offsite’s commitment to eco-friendly construction.
