At McVeigh Offsite we take pride in the work we do in our community. Over the last 10 years we have been involved in various rewarding projects within the community around the north west.
Dogs 4 Rescue is the UK’s pioneering kennel-free rescue – saving dogs in desperate need in the UK and around the world. Emma, the founder of Dogs4Rescue reached out to us in 2022 about transforming a piece of land into a one-of-a-kind facility specialising in pack rehabilitation. In 2023, Emma’s vision came to life, our Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs), Timber frame and roof trusses were delivered and erected on site in under 2 weeks to form the large communal dog log cabin.
Emma and the team at Dogs 4 Rescue shared an overwhelming sense of appreciation “McVeigh Offsite have approached the project with such passion and professionalism, and the build has gone up so quickly and efficiently. Friends of Victoria Park has been contributing to the upkeep and enhancement of the beloved public park in Stretford, Greater Manchester, since 2002. Managing a local community building and reinvesting any earnings back into the park have been aspects of this endeavour. In 2019, it was decided to remove the original, temporary community facility and build a brand-new one because it was in desperate need of renovation.
The design for the new building, included both a tea-room and community facilities. These new facilities needed to be highly insulated to ensure comfort and limit heating costs. With so many community-based initiatives, local groups and charities relying on use of the centre, speed of build was essential.
Our Kingspan Tek SIPs were used for both the external walls and roof to deliver excellent thermal performance and timber frame panels internally. All our products were manufactured off-site and delivered ready for installation.
Site coordination was vital on the project as there was restricted access and minimal security in the park. For this reason, all the installation products that were delivered onsite needed to be fixed that day, we couldn’t leave any materials or equipment unfixed overnight.

At McVeigh Offsite we attended an open day at the Etihad stadium to sign up for the BBC DIY SOS project which will help ex-service personnel who were affected by their time in the service.
We committed to the design, supply and installation of all the timber frames and truss roofs on the first phase of works. The design and supply were the easy bits… With the on site activities being some what more challenging working alongside, above and below as many tradesmen that the BBC could muster up! Anyway, it got built as it always does and we did our bit! We decided to try and give something back in the community and saw this and thought this was the perfect opportunity to help!

At McVeigh Offsite we were involved in the dismantle of old, inadequate insulation from their partner, Emerge’s waste and recycling depot in Manchester. We assisted in the procurement and installation of the new cladding panels to rejuvenate the Emerge recycling work space.
